New Vegan Friendly Places

Cauli Market

Cauli Market is a new super friendly store in Belltown with curated specialty items including many vegan items. The focus of the store is real food grocery basics and snacks. Lots of vegan foods with ingredients that everyone can pronounce and have heard of. They have vegan cookies, to go salads from Jujubeet, frozen veggie burgers and desserts. Plus many more uncommon items like vegan salami made from figs and dried jack fruit snacks. You can also find basics including cereal, pasta and California olive oil.

Special Outdoor Events

9/18/21 – FundaMental Fest – Free Wellness Festival & Fundraiser

On Saturday, September 18, rue Santé, a vegan beauty and personal care products company in Seattle, is hosting FundaMental Fest at PNA (Phinney Neighborhood Association). This is a free event featuring live music, arts, self-care, relaxation rituals, intro classes, stress-relieving and healing practices, raffle prizes, and tasty treats from a curated cast of local makers, artists, healers, spiritual leaders, practitioners, and wellness professionals. The fundraiser benefits the National Alliance on Mental Illness Seattle non-profit.

The festival is in observance that September is Mental Health and Suicide Prevention month to help stop the stigma of mental illness and provide resources and promote stress relieving experiences.

9/18-9/19/21 – HOMECOMING – Performing Arts Festival

Life on Mars will have a beer garden at the HOMECOMING – Performing Arts Festival on September18-19 in Capitol Hill. The event will have over 100 artists performing including music, dance, comedy, and children’s events.

Cycle Dogs added shrubs (drinking vinegars) to their menu. The new shrub flavors are Peach Nectarine Green Tea and Blackberry Ginger Cinnamon.

Frankie & Jo’s

Frankie & Jo’s vegan ice cream shop has three seasonal ice cream flavors for September. A Freckled Tahini Fudge made with tahini ice cream is swirled with sweet & salty tahini fudge pieces and freckled with chips of rich Theo chocolate. Miso Moon made with coconut and oat milk ice cream with miso oat cookie crumbles and miso caramel sauce. Mountain Berry Magic is made with huckleberry jam made from Washington huckleberries.

Mighty-O’s Donuts vegan bakery and cafe has two seasonal donuts for September.  The Apple Spiced Donut is an apple spiced cake donut topped with an apple glaze, and a dusting of nutmeg. The PB&J donut is a yeast raised donut filled with a raspberry jam and topped with a peanut butter glaze.

Molly Moon

Molly Moon’s September vegan ice cream flavor of the month is Vegan Coconut Raspberry.

Razzi’s Pizzeria

Every month Razzi’s has a monthly special. September’s special is free 1/2 garlic bread with purchase of a large pizza. Ask for the vegan option. Razzi’s has a complete vegan menu with Italian favorites.

Veggie Grill has several new menu items. A Double BBQ Mac Burger, a Turkey Melt, a Steakhouse Burger made with a Beyond Burger, caramelized onion sauce, blue cheese crumbles, iceberg lettuce, and horseradish aioli. A Cajun Fish Sandwich, Kimchi Beef Bowl, and a 7 Layer Bowl with 7 layer burrito ingredients without the tortilla.

PCC Market is offering a huge assortment of vegan cooking classes in September. Some classes are even in person.

9/12/2021 @ 3-6pm & 9/13/2021 @ 6-8pm – In Person 2-Day Sourdough Workshop at Green Lake Village PCC
Learn hands on about making sourdough bread. Make Country Sourdough bread and Sourdough Waffles. Class is $150 per person.

9/14/2021 @ 4-5:30pm – Mindful Eating for Stress Relief
Menu includes Lentil Bolognese with Oven-Baked Yams, Citrus-Fueled Rocket Salad, and Baked Pears with Cinnamon-Cashew Cream. Live online class via Zoom. Price is $40.

9/20/2021 @ 4-5pm – Introduction to Fermentation
Menu includes Sauerkraut, and Beet Kvass. Live online class via Zoom. Price is $30.
