Free Events in Seattle
Check out the Seattle Waterfront at Pier 62. There are many free events throughout summer. There are lots of chairs and tables to bring your lunch and enjoy the city and water views. There are also comfy chairs facing the water for conversations, reading, and enjoying the sun. There are many free events that range from exercise classes, author events, pop-up markets, dancing, and music. Most events are for all ages. From August 11 – September 1 there’s a Pop-Up Market with vegan and vegan friendly vendors. Ma and Pops makes vegan ice pops with Caribbean and Southern inspired flavors. Tea Moss Shop makes vegan friendly teas made with sea moss water. rue Santé makes all vegan beauty and self-care products. You can find these vendors at the Pop-Up Markets. New Vegan & Vegan Friendly Restaurants
Several new restaurant openings in Seattle and near Seattle this summer.
- Ben & Esther’s Vegan Jewish Deli opening 9/1/2022.
- Chiho Bistro in Belltown has Chinese American Food with vegan friendly menu.
- Dough Joy opened new location in West Seattle with their all vegan donuts and disco-themed plant shop.
- Juicy J’s Smoked Burgers is a recently opened all vegan, plant-based walk-up restaurant in Poulsbo.

- Flying Squirrel Pizza in Maple Leaf has closed (the Georgetown location is still open).
- The Bayside Café in Everett moved to a new location.

Cinnaholic
Cinnaholic introduced last month Dole soft serve. This month they have a new summer cinnamon roll with lemon drizzle that has lemon crème frosting, pie crumble, fresh blueberries and raspberries, and new lemon drizzle
Frankie & Jo’s
Frankie & Jo’s August seasonal vegan ice cream flavors include Basil Blackberry Buckle, Peaches and Cream, and Passion Fruit Parfait.
Mighty-O Donuts
Mighty-O Donuts seasonal donuts for August include a Peach Fritter and ‘Smore’s Chocolate Donut. Their seasonal August drinks include a Macadamia Nut Cold Brew and they’re keeping their summer lemonades on the menu for August.
Next Level Burger
Next Level Burger’s August special is the Rocky Mountain High Shake with crunchy almonds, organic dark chocolate chips, chocolate syrup with either organic coconut or soy soft serve. Topped with whipped cream, almond pieces, marshmallows, and chocolate syrup.
Piroshky Piroshky
Piroshky Piroshky special for August includes a vegan friendly Cabbage & Onion Piroshky. They also have other vegan piroshkies including Potato & Mushroom, Impossible Beef & Onion, and Veggie Chipotle with Field Roast crumble. Find them at Pike Place Market.

Salt & Straw’s vegan seasonal ice cream for August is Red Chili Curry & Makrut Lime Crispy Rice.
Veggie Grill
Veggie Grill has a Chinese Chick’n Salad and Grilled BBQ Chick’n Sandwich added to their menu.
