Events

Check out Bellingham VegFest on 9/18/22. This free event brings together vegan friendly restaurants and businesses for an all vegan festival to explore many vegan options and how easy it can be to be vegan. There will be food samples, raffles, art, and more events. Intended for everyone including both vegans and non-vegans and open to all ages. Free parking at event.

Restaurant Updates

  • Cups & Crepes opened this summer in Everett. Vegan crepes and coffee drinks, featuring a different artist’s work in café each month.
  • Ben & Esther’s Café, an all vegan Jewish deli, is opening this month in Capitol Hill.
  • Distant Worlds Coffeehouse is moving in September to the old Sunlight Café location (corner of NE 64th St and Roosevelt St in Roosevelt neighborhood). Their last day at the current location is September 25 and they’re planning on reopening on October 8th.
  • Wayward Vegan Café closed on 8/30/22.

Seasonal Vegan Menu Options

Frankie & Jo’s Vegan Ice Cream

Frankie & Jo’s vegan ice cream flavors for September are Mountain Berry Magic Ice Cream (huckleberry ice cream with huckleberry and saskatoon jam and golden, crumbly pie crust), Summer Harvest Cake Ice Cream (roasted cashew and coconut ice cream with chunks of chocolate cake made with eggplant), and Apricorn Ice Cream ( sweet corn and coconut milk ice cream swirled with apricot sorbet).

Mighty-O’s Vegan Donuts

Mighty-O’s September donut is a Spice Apple Donut.

Molly Moon’s

Molly Moon’s seasonal vegan ice cream flavor is Vegan Melted Chocolate Ice Cream made with Theo Chocolate and coconut milk.

Salt & Straw

Salt & Straw’s September vegan ice cream option is Plum & Chocolate Hazelnut Shortbread.
